In early July, in Central Russia, including in the Voronezh region, was observed abnormally cold weather with high rainfall and strong winds. The region's weather normalized only on July 16. Due to adverse weather conditions, the timing of the harvest has shifted to 10-14 days later than a multiyear average. Harvesting started in the second half of July.

"In crop production, the gross grain harvest – 5 million 508 thousand tons in initially capitalized weight, and this is an absolute record in the history field observation", — stated in the message.

The regional authorities say that over 10 months of 2017 in the region increased meat production — up to 257,9 thousand tons (an increase compared with last year, 26 thousand tons, or 11%), milk – 486,3 thousand tons (an increase of 31 thousand tonnes, or 7%), pork – 127 thousand tonnes (13% growth).

All, according to the regional government, on November 1, in the Voronezh region has produced agricultural products on of 160.3 billion rubles (4.6% of the corresponding period in 2016).
