Every year the Tver region spends on clearing of farmland from Hogweed 10 million rubles. The Governor of the region reported that currently the possibility of co-financing from the regional budget measures to combat Hogweed in those municipalities where weed spread particularly widely.

"In places where people live, in particular along the roads try to perform local chemical treatment. Next to residential houses and industrial buildings will use mechanical methods of combating Hogweed," said Rodina.

The Governor also stressed that when performing work unacceptable damage to the ecology of the upper Volga region.
