Such meetings on behalf of the Minister of agriculture of Russia Alexander Tkachev will be held with representatives of all Federal districts.

"Support of small forms of managing is for the Ministry of agriculture one of the priority areas. The main purpose of these meetings is to define the problematic issues and tasks that require immediate solutions, and discuss plans for the future", - said Vladimir Svezhenets.

The Director of the Department said that the maximum grant for beginning farmer is 1.5 million rubles. 2017 for farmers developing beef and dairy cattle, the size of the maximum grant increased to 3 million rubles.

Another important point, according to Vladimir Swieca is that after the full disbursement of the grant (18 months) beginning farmers engaged in livestock breeding are entitled to a grant on development of family livestock farms.

The maximum grant amount for one family farm is 21.6 million rubles, and for farmers developing beef or dairy cattle – up to 30 million rubles.

In 2017, according to preliminary accounting data of the regions for grant support of the beginning farmers spent 3.8 billion rubles of Federal funds. As a result, the support was provided to 2 527 (peasant) farms. On the development of family livestock farms sent 3.7 billion roubles of Federal funds. 727 farmers received grant support from an average of 6 million roubles on one economy.

"For 2018 to support beginning farmers is tentatively planned to allocate 3.5 billion rubles for the development of family livestock farms – 3.7 billion rubles. Support will be provided not less than 3 thousand (peasant) farms", - said Vladimir Svezhenets.

During discussion the meeting noted that this year the regions have not planned reduction in funding to support small farms.

Mr Svezhenets also told the meeting that the February 19-20, will host the annual Congress of the Association of peasant (farmer) farms and agricultural cooperatives, which will be discussed topical issues of small farms and discussed problems and ways of their solution.

The Director of the Department of rural development noted that small businesses in rural areas not only performs the production function, but also contributes to a more efficient use of land resources, to provide year-round employment of rural population, growth of incomes of inhabitants of the village and preservation of cultural heritage.
