This year on the development of viticulture and horticulture in Crimea, the local authorities intend to invest the budget billions of rubles. On 11 January at a meeting with the head of the Crimea was announced by the Minister of agriculture Andrey Ryumshin.

According to the Minister, the event will be funded at public expense.

"In 2018 we will have an additional billion rubles, so the total funding will amount to 3 billion rubles. All funds will mainly be used in crop production. Planting the vines will be increased to one thousand acres of grapes, growing to 900 hectares," — said the Minister.

Recall that in late November of 2017, the head of Crimean Parliament Vladimir Konstantinov said that in the Crimea over the next two and a half years, is scheduled tab of 3,5 thousand hectares of new vineyards.

"If last year we had laid about 560 hectares of vineyards, this is more than 670 hectares. By 2020 it is planned to lay a further 3.5 thousand hectares," — said Vladimir Konstantinov.

As reported IA REGNUM, in the late 1950-ies in the Crimea, the vineyards occupied an area of more than 100 thousand hectares. At the same time until 1963 the state farms and collective farms of the Peninsula were set the task to increase the data rates up to 300 thousand ha. After 1991, the Peninsula has lost two thirds of its own vineyards. In 2017 in the Republic there were only 14 thousand hectares of fruit-bearing vineyards.

Last summer, the Ministry of agriculture stated that the area of vineyards will increase almost five times.

"In the next five years our challenge is to increase the area of productive vineyards on the Peninsula are from 10 to 50 thousand ha. We carry out indicators of previous years by planting up to 500 ha of vineyards per year, but the challenge is to plant from five to 10 thousand hectares per year", — said the head of the Ministry Andrey Ryumshin.

Also note that at the end of last year, the head of the Crimea said that he supports the idea of selling all the wineries of the Peninsula is in private hands, following the example of the factory of sparkling wines "New world".

"I am advocating to sell them all, especially since we have efficient state capacity in this area and there are unlikely to be. Anyway, the motivation system is quite different", — stated the position of the authorities Sergey Aksenov.
