The growth ensured all pools with the exception of the Azov-black sea.

The total fish catch in far East basin amounted to 349,8 thousand tons (2017 . – 342,9 thousand tons). The increase is due to increased production of herring, crabs in the Okhotsk sea, cod in the Bering sea. On the Pollock fishery catch is of 260.2 thousand tons, more than last year's level at 7.5 million tons.

In the Northern basin the catch reached 46.8 thousand tons, which is 11.1 thousand tons higher than last year.

Baltic sea total catch increased by 4 thousand tons and amounted to 11.7 thousand tons. The fishery sprat produced 7.4 million tonnes (2.5 tonnes by 2017). Herring catch of the Baltic amounted to 4.0 thousand tonnes (+ 1.5 million tons by 2017).

The fishermen of the Azov-black sea basin was fished out of 11.4 thousand tons of fish, 1.3 thousand tonnes lower than last year. The decline in catch is due to a decrease in the extraction of anchovy and sprat.

In the Caspian basin production has grown more than in 2 times – from 0.03 million tons to 0,07 tonnes.

In zones of foreign States, Russian fishermen have mastered 34.9 thousand tons of fish, which is less than last year's level by 4.2 thousand tons.
