By the end of 2017 the volume of flour production in Kazakhstan amounted to 4.1 million tons, which is 2.2% higher than a year earlier, according to the February 19 analytical portal EnergyProm, citing data from the statistics Committee of the Ministry of national economy of the Republic.
Among the regions leader in terms of production is the Kustanay (Kostanay) region — 1.3 million tonnes, which is 16.5% more than in 2016.
In second place — South-Kazakhstan region with capacity of 861,4 thousand tons, which is 7% higher than a year earlier.
For the eleven months of 2017 in the domestic market accounted for 41.2% of total flour production and exports, at 58.8%. Domestic consumption during the year grew by 17.8% and exports fell by 5.9%.
