26 Feb 2018 the Rosselkhoznadzor imposes restrictions on import to Russia of milk and some other dairy products produced in the Republic of Belarus, the necessity of adopting these measures is connected with the continuing flow of unsafe dairy products from Belarus to the Russian Federation.

Experts believe that restrictions could be associated not so much with identified disabilities as the need to protect domestic producers in the conditions of an oversupplied market.

A temporary ban on the import of Belarusian products will help to remove the excess milk from the market, which should boost prices for raw milk. This will help the Russian manufacturers of milk, so believe in the "center for the study of milk market".
