Alexander Tkachev: Russia takes the first place in the world in wheat exports.
Minister of agriculture Alexander Tkachev at session of the government of the Russian Federation stated that Russia could take the first place in the world in wheat exports and second in exports of grain as a whole.

"Since the beginning of the season the exports of grain rose by 39%. We have already exported more than 36 million tons of grain, of which 28 million is wheat. At the end of the season we need to reach the level of 45-47 million tons," — said Tkachev.
Recall, the international grains Council (IGC) earlier increased the estimate of grain exports by 1.7 million tons, up from 43.9 million tons. According to this rating, Russia is in the 2017/2018 marketing year have already reached the second place, ahead of Ukraine.
