In Russia, milk production in agricultural organizations increased by 5.4%
In January-February of 2018 in agricultural organizations produced 2.5 million tonnes of milk (+5.4 per cent in 2017 and 2.3 million tonnes)

The largest increase in milk production has provided farmers in Voronezh, Kaluga, Novosibirsk, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen regions and the Krasnodar territory.

Decrease in milk production admitted in the Kemerovo and Orel oblasts, the Republics of Bashkortostan, North Ossetia-Alania and the Republic of Karelia.

Average yield per cow of dairy herd in the agricultural organizations (except microenterprises) increased by 4.5% and amounted to 1021 kg.

The greatest increase of milk production achieved in the Chechen Republic (+701 kg), Penza (+247 kg), Vladimir (+189 kg) and Kaluga regions (+168 kg).

Positive dynamics of milk production in agricultural organizations is the result of work on improvement of the productive qualities of dairy cattle enterprises. The Ministry of agriculture of Russia considers important in the current price situation on the market of raw milk to ensure the preservation of the achieved growth.
