The Pskov region administration intends to 2018 to increase grant support to farmers almost in 1.5 times and to allocate for these purposes about 54 million roubles, last year with a budget of 45 million rubles, told TASS on Friday the head of the regional Department of agriculture and state technical supervision of Nicholas Romanov.

"Last year, for grants [for farmers] has been allocated about 45 million rubles, this year about 54 million rubles. Will be awarded 9 grants for beginning farmers, the amount of each is up to 3 million rubles. Also will be awarded four grants under the program of family farm development, the amount of the grant up to 10 million rubles," - said the Agency interlocutor.

Romanov also said that now in the Pskov region started accepting applications for participation in competitions of grants for beginning farmers and family livestock farms. "Within a month we will accept applications, then within 10 days, consider them, and the winners will be determined," - said the head of the regional Department of agriculture.

Farmers in the Pskov region will receive grants in 2012 in the framework of the state program on development of agriculture in the region. During this time she was given 94 to beginning farmers and 20 family owned farms. Total funding for the programme amounted to more than 231 million rubles. These funds were acquired animals and farm equipment is expanded or upgraded production facilities.
