In the Vologda region will create fish farms for growing salmon — about 2.5 thousand tons a year, told RIA Novosti the Governor of the region Oleg Kuvshinnikov.

"Playground, where the company, not far from Vologda, almost determined. The agreement between the Vologda oblast and OOO "Akvaprodukt" for this project was signed at the St. Petersburg international economic forum," said Kuvshinnikov.

According to him, investment in production will be almost 1.7 billion rubles is planned to create more than 20 new jobs, and annual sales volume of chilled gutted fish is about 1,700 tons.

 
 

"We hope that construction will start in early next year. Object delivery — the end of 2019 or beginning of 2020. The regional government and the regional development Corporation will provide OOO "Akvaprodukt" all necessary support. In particular, the agreement involves the provision to the investor by the regional authorities of measures of state support, including reimbursement of expenses to purchase equipment and planting stock, for the construction of facilities for fish farming and fish production, and to pay interest on loans for aquaculture development", — said the head of the region.

 

He noted that the Vologda region focuses on the development of fish farming. The region has a program "Development of fish culture in the Vologda region for 2014-2020". To support fish culture in 2018 by state budget funds in the amount to 29.3 million rubles. The same amount will be allocated to the development of the industry in the next five years.

 

Today in the region are successfully working rybolovnye four companies, including one of the leaders of the Russian market — the company "Diana", engaged in cultivation of fishes of sturgeon and carp species, as well as the production of caviar. A total of Vologda businesses was raised last year to slightly more than 100 tons of fish.

"The development of aquaculture is a strategic priority. Such projects we will support. The region aims to increase fish production in the next three years to 7-10 times, from the current 100 tons to 700-1000 tons," — said Kuvshinnikov.
