For 4 months of the current year agricultural producers of the region produced 48.7 thousand tons of cattle and poultry for slaughter in live weight. Production of livestock and poultry for slaughter in all categories of farms (in live weight) is expected in 2018 in the amount of 144 thousand tons.

Milk production in all categories of farms of the year amounted to 49,7 thousand tons.

Traced the positive dynamics of growth of milk productivity of cows in the agricultural organizations. Milk yield per 1 cow in agricultural enterprises in January-April 2018 amounted to 1.7 million kg (102,5 % to the similar period in 2017). This figure is reached by the range of activities undertaken in 2017 to improve the industry, namely improving forage and fodder quality, introduction of modern technologies of milking and maintenance, improvement of the reproduction system, improving the culture of production.
