Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev on Friday will personally check the readiness of the farmers to harvest. As reported a press-service of the government, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers "will hold a teleconference on which will discuss the tasks to ensure the 2018 harvesting season".

The meeting will be held in videoconference mode with participation of heads of subjects of Federation. Planned live broadcasts from the Republic of Crimea, the Chuvash Republic, Krasnodar territory, Stavropol territory, the Belgorod, Lipetsk, Novosibirsk and Chelyabinsk regions. The meeting will also be attended by first Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Finance Anton Siluanov, Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Gordeyev, Minister of agriculture Dmitry Patrushev, heads of industry unions.

This year, the success of the farmers were affected by several negative factors, including rising prices of fuels and lubricants and adverse weather conditions. For example, the Crimean authorities earlier this month reported that the grain harvest in the region because of the drought will be twice less than last year.
