The Rosselkhoznadzor imposed temporary restrictions on exports to Russia of live birds and eggs from the Danish municipality of Vordingborg due to the deterioration of the situation on avian influenza in Denmark. This was announced by the Federal service for veterinary and phytosanitary surveillance.

In the supply of products to Russia from other regions of Denmark in the veterinary certificates must be made the entry "in addition to the municipality, Vordingborg, Denmark", said the Russian Ministry.

Avian influenza is an infectious disease that affects the organs of digestion, respiration and leads to death of birds. Carriers usually are wild birds. Most strains of the disease for people not dangerous.
