Prospects for the development of agriculture in the Ryazan region was discussed on 10 July the Governor Nikolai Lyubimov, the Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev. In particular, the meeting discussed the implementation in the Ryazan region investment projects in the agricultural sector, the introduction of a mechanism of preferential crediting of farmers, development of agricultural cooperation, as well as preparing for the harvesting campaign.

Governor Nikolai Lyubimov said that in 2018 in the region has significantly increased the volume of concessional short-term and investment loans to farmers.

"Since the beginning of the year by the Ministry of agriculture approved the application of agricultural organizations of the Ryazan region on preferential investment loans for a total amount of 21,39 billion rubles, which is almost five times more than in 2017", — stated in the message.

As noted by the regional government, Dmitry Patrushev praised the activities held in the region for implementation of investment projects in the field of dairy farming, poultry farming, vegetable production, grain processing and milk.
