Experts have canceled the quarantine, announced earlier due to the outbreak of bird flu in the village of lower Grigorenko and Second Vasylivka village in the Kursk region. The corresponding decree was signed by the Governor of the region Alexander Mikhailov.

"Based on the submission of the head of Department of veterinary science of Kursk region on the abolition of quarantine on the bird flu <...> decide to cancel the quarantine on avian influenza in the territories of the lower Grajvorone S. and D. Second Vasilevka Soviet district of the Kursk region," - said in a document published on the official website of the regional administration.

As reported, the first recorded outbreak of avian influenza occurred in the Kursk region in the middle of June to the virus at the same time revealed in the pathological material taken from dead chickens and ducks in his household in the villages of the lower Grajvorone, the Second Vasilevka Soviet area. In total during the month the specialists of the veterinary Department reported seven outbreaks of bird flu discovered in the region in private farms.

At the moment the quarantine was canceled in three settlements of the seven. In the region strengthened the monitoring of all poultry farms operating in the mode of the closed type and population of birds, which is contained in private farms. Under the terms of the quarantine in the epizootic foci and troubled points is carried out a bloodless slaughter with subsequent burial. The region has already received 70 thousand of doses for vaccination of poultry population in risk zones and around poultry factories.

Avian influenza is an infectious disease that affects the organs of digestion, respiration and leads to death of birds. Carriers usually are wild birds. Most strains of the disease for people not dangerous.
