It is reported that the General Manager, marketing and trading of the Australian cooperative Jason John Craig said that the purpose of the trip, the Australian co-operators in the Krasnodar region – familiarity with technologies of local farmers in production of crops.

This year changed our route to Russia because your country is seriously increase in agricultural production, particularly cereal grains", – quotes the words of Craig's press service. According to the report, of particular interest to Australian farmers was the fact that the authorities of Krasnodar Krai financial support of agriculture. In 2018 the amount of state support of agricultural producers is of the order of 8 billion rubles. Including support to the farmers allocated more than 1 billion.

According to the administration of Krasnodar region, announced at the meeting, the region has over seven thousand agricultural enterprises, in the industry zanyatoy more than 1.5 million people. The region's share of gross production of grain in Russia amounts to 12%, in the SFD – 45%. Grain is the main export item of the Krasnodar territory. In 2017, the first region was the third region-exporter of wheat in the world after Western Australia, and the U.S. state Kansas exported 8.1 million tons of grain. Just taking into account transit through the Kuban ports for export was sent more of 32.44 million tons of grain.

During the visit to Krasnodar region the delegation of farmers of Australia is scheduled to visit several agricultural enterprises in the region, the report says.
