According to Ilyukhin, Kamchatka over the past ten years is a leader in the field of mining libresource not only in the far East, where the region holds about 40%, but in the whole of Russia - about a quarter of all catches in the country falls on the fishermen of Kamchatka.

"Our fishing industry is a leader in investment in infrastructure. Over the last years was allocated about 30 billion rubles, created 20 new fish processing plants, which today produce cost-effective products. Some of these plants, the daily output reaches 400 tons. Ilyukhin also talked about the performance of the program of construction of earthquake-proof housing.
