Construction of fruit storage capacity of 25 thousand tons is planned in Karachay-Cherkessia (KCHR) in the framework of the investment project, the implementation of which should begin in 2019, said the Minister of agriculture of the Republic Anzor Botashev.

"OOO "APK "Elbrus", actively participating in the development of intensive horticulture in the KCR intends to 2019-2023 years to realize the investment project on construction of fruit storage capacity of 25 thousand tons. The entry for this object with a controlled atmosphere will allow you to store the fruit for up to 10 months without loss of quality characteristics," said Botashev.

The construction will be conducted in Adyge-Khabl district of the Republic where agricultural gardens provides intensive garden. "The plans tab intensive garden on the area of 603 hectares, of which 100 hectares are planted in the spring of 2017, in the autumn of this year planned to lay another 100 hectares of gardens and the same amount each subsequent year", - said the Minister.

According to the Ministry of agriculture of Karachay-Cherkessia in the framework of the program of import substitution in the KCR in 2017 and beginning of 2018 pledged 279 acres of gardens of intensive type, to the end of the year it is planned to establish more than 160 hectares.
