In the Tambov region increased the volume of livestock products. In January-July 2018 compared to the same period meat production increased by almost a quarter, of milk — more than 12%, reported IA REGNUM in the regional Department of information policy with reference to the data Tambovshchina.

Meat production, slaughter live weight, the results of the current period, in large, medium and small enterprises amounted to 299,5 thousand tons more than in January-July of last year by 59.4 thousand tons (24.8%).Increased production of meat farms in 12 districts, among them: Tokarevskiy, Nikiforovsky, Rasskazovskogo.

There has also been an increase in gross milk production in agricultural enterprises. In particular, for the current period, this figure reached 43.7 thousand tons. The increase in milk production was noted in farms in seven districts of the province. The average milk yield per cow in the region for the first half of 2018 amounted to 3.3 thousand kg in January-July 2017 — 3.1 kg.

The head of administration of Tambov region Alexander Nikitin has noted that development of agriculture is one of priority directions of economic policy of the region. In his opinion, traceable in this sector of the economy positive dynamics needs in the near future not only continue, but increase. And these expectations have justified. As follows from the data of Rosstat, Tambov oblast in the first half of the year was included into number of leaders among regions of the Central Federal district in dynamics and livestock production.

As reported IA REGNUM, the agricultural sector in the Tambov region shows growth. In the I half of this year the gross volume of agricultural production increased by 20% compared to the same period last year. The volume of gross production of meat of cattle and poultry in live weight Tambov region took the second place in Russia after the Belgorod region. At the expense of input of new capacities positive dynamics is observed in the dairy industry.
