During the conference, participants discussed ideas that can improve the productivity and comfort of the animals and stimulate the growth in the value and transparency in the supply chain of dairy products.

"We are entering a new era when numerous sources of information will be integrated, correlated and analyzed for timely solutions to complex problems," said Ricardo daura, Director of product line "Digital Insights" of Cargill.

Introducing long-term and short-term forecasts, IFCN analysts noted that the growth of demand for milk up to 2030 is estimated at 304 million tonnes.

For production development needed for this growth requires the world price of milk by more than 40 US $ /100 kg milk.

The situation on the dairy market in 2019 will be very dependent on the nuances of 2018, such as anomalies in the weather affecting the production of food, the import demand of dairy products and the growth of GDP per capita.

The rapid slowdown in world milk supplies, reaching approx. 1.6% in August against 3.1% in January, supported the stabilization of milk prices at 35 US $ /100 kg.

Torsten Hemme managing Director IFCN said: "the Demand for dairy products will grow faster than supply. It solutions for greater awareness will serve the dairy industry to determine the potential growth of the sector".
