According to the information-analytical system "Argus", the volume of imports of food products regulated by the Rosselkhoznadzor, for the past week amounted to about 50 thousand tons.
The percentage distribution among the groups of the imported goods following: 57,5% of the total import volume made up of vegetable products; 15.2 per cent – meat and meat products; 10.4% of fish and seafood; 10,2% – milk and dairy products. Also a large share in imports fell on feeds and feed additives (6.2 percent).
Among the meat products a significant share in imports fell for beef (5.5%) and poultry meat (3,5%). Pork amounted to 1.2% of the imported agricultural products and finished meat and fish products – 2,8%. The import volume of eggs sold amounted to 0.5% of the total import volume of food products for a specified period.
In the period from 10 to 19 September 2018 17.8% of products were imported from the countries of the Eurasian economic Union; 6,0% – from the countries of the Asia-Pacific economic cooperation; 5,6% – from EU countries. The main countries – trade partners were Brazil (56.8 per cent), Belarus (16.2 percent) and Paraguay (2.5 percent).
Trademark-geographical structure of imports, we can conclude that the EEU countries for the analyzed period were the main suppliers to Russia of meat, milk and dairy products, eggs and products of their processing, whereas, the APEC countries accounted for the largest share in export of fish and fish products.
Delivery of products to the territory of Russia in the period under review was mainly done through road and sea transport. Road traffic made up of 10.90 tonnes. In container shipping had of 7.72 thousand tons, bilge Maritime transport – about 30,54 thousand tons, rail transport – 0,98 thousand tons, aviation and 0.01 thousand tons.
