In his speech Alexey Alekseyenko touched upon the risks and threats in agriculture. The use of pesticides of new generation, on the one hand, saves the crops, on the other – poses a threat to wildlife. The speaker noted the growth of the risks associated with the use of small chemical drugs, genetically modified organisms, and microbiological risks.

Alexey Alexeyenko said the growing instability of the environment. On the example of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous district, where in 2016 there was an outbreak of anthrax, the expert reminded about the seriousness of the problem of global warming. In the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous district due to the melting ice exposed the carcasses of animals who died hundreds of years ago from anthrax, and there was activation of the spores of the infection.

As told Alexey Alekseenko, the Federal service for veterinary and phytosanitary surveillance is important to the conservation and sustainability of agro - and biological systems. For the solution of environmental problems required a dialogue of professionals – scientists, representatives of industrial farms and the state authorities of all levels and branches. This will help to develop a systematic approach to dealing with risks. The forum "Nature without borders" provides opportunities for such dialogue.
