Congress of the European Association of veterinary diagnostic laboratory is held once in two years starting in 2010. The Association was founded in 2009 as a platform for cooperation of national veterinary institutes of Denmark, France, the Netherlands, Sweden and the UK. This year the main topics of the Congress were new and rapidly spreading epizootic diseases of farm animals, antibiotic resistance and new technologies in the diagnosis of zoonotic diseases.

Junior researcher of the Department of quality control and standardization of genetic material and drugs used in animal reproduction, Daria Eroshkina presented to the Congress a report on the theme "Research sexyoung seed of bulls-producers."
The participants also got acquainted with the reports Svetlana azentek on the development of methods for the isolation and identification of Mycoplasma californicum, M. bovigenitalium, M. bovis and U. Diversum, as well as on the definition of an infectious agent in the frozen semen of bulls by PCR.
Staff VGNKI attended lectures on the current state of diagnostics of enzootic and vector-borne diseases and reports promising directions for the diagnosis of zoonotic diseases.
