The meeting participants discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, energy, tourism, science and agriculture. In the Russian delegation, in addition to the leadership of the Ministry of agriculture, also includes representatives of the Ministry of economic development, Ministry of energy, Ministry of education, public corporations, which reported on the current status of the interaction in the aforementioned areas and promising opportunities for the development of relations.

"The level of political trust between the leaders of Russia and Croatia is the Foundation for building multi-faceted cooperation in trade-economic and scientific-technical spheres. For the first nine months of 2018, the volume of bilateral trade approached $ 1 billion, which is 30% more than last year. The exports of Russian products in Croatia increased by almost 1.5 times to 844,4 million dollars. We expect that this trend will continue and by the end of this year our turnover will show even greater growth," said Mr Patrushev.

A key area of bilateral cooperation in trade-economic sphere, energy remains. At the end of last year, energy accounted for the majority of the volume of Russian exports to Croatia. As the Minister said, the domestic companies are ready for active joint work on construction and modernization of energy infrastructure of the Republic.

Also promising areas for the development of cooperation Dmitry Patrushev called agricultural engineering and digitalization. In addition, Russia seeks to actively promote investment cooperation with Croatia is today in our country are successfully operating 24 enterprises with the participation of the Croatian capital. According to the Minister, the foreign companies that organize their production in our country opportunities, primarily associated with access to large market of the EAEC. Thus, today Russia offers foreign investors a range of preferences, preferential tax regimes and assists in access to infrastructure.
