According to preliminary calculations, the implementation of such precision farming systems will reduce the harvest time by 6.5%. "Only by harvesters savings amount to 2.4 million hours in the season, 192 million litres of diesel fuel, about 5 thousand freed harvesters," explained Misyura.
According to him, the market of precision farming has great potential and, according to forecasts, by 2025 will reach $4.34 billion, annual growth will amount to 13.6%. Methodological support to the project will render the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Ural agricultural University.
