At the first place in the top five exporters of butter is New Zealand, which in 2018 410,3 exported thousands of tons, on the second place - the country of the European Union (151,2 thousand tons), the third - Belarus (more than 73 thousand tons), the fourth - USA (43.7 thousand tons).
 
According to the analyst of Association of Yana Muzychenko, this has become possible due to the competitive prices on the background of European.
 
"Ukrainian oil in 2018 the average cost was 4.5 dollars/pounds, then as a European - 5-5,2 dollars/kg. That price was the decisive factor that for the second year Ukraine is actively cooperating with the Netherlands. This country is the second main importers of Ukrainian butter. The first was occupied by Morocco," - said muzichenko.

She stressed that such cooperation suggests that Ukraine formed a positive image in foreign markets and can operate without the Russian market. In addition, the expert added, the quality of Ukrainian milk from which is made this product, in recent years greatly improved. So, starting in 2013, the share of milk of extra quality in the structure of revenues for recycling has increased from 9.8% to 20.6%.
 
Experts added that in 2018, the Ukraine also entered the top three leaders in the supply of foreign markets casein - the main protein used in the pharmaceutical and food industry for the manufacture of diet food.
 
"Here we are second only to New Zealand, which exported last year of 78.5 thousand tons of milk, and the EU, which has put on foreign markets of 66.6 thousand tons. Ukraine's exports amounted to 7.1 thousand tons," - said muzichenko.
 
In addition, added in the press service, Ukraine ranked eighth among world exporters of dry milk. So, in 2018, Ukraine supplied to 22.1 thousand tons of production, ahead of Turkey but behind Canada, which ranked seventh in the ranking.
 
As UNIAN reported earlier, according to the Ministry of agrarian policy, in 2018 year, Ukraine entered the top ten largest exporters of dairy products.
 
According to the State statistics service, milk production in Ukraine in 2017 amounted to 10.3 million tons, which is 0.5% less than 2016.
 
According to the Food and agriculture organization of the UN (FAO), Ukrainian milk producers by the end of 2017 increased exports of dairy products to 82.4% compared with the year 2016, when it was exported 109,2 thousand tons in the amount of 158 million dollars.
