Food and agriculture organization of the UN (FAO) will allocate Georgia two million euros for projects in the field of agriculture and rural development, reported on the page of the government of Georgia in Facebook.

In the framework of the project, among other things, the planned development policy of rural development in Georgia and the sustainable use of natural resources. The project to be implemented by FAO, funded by the Austrian development Agency (ADC).

The activities to be carried out in the framework of the project aimed at improving the competitiveness of Georgian farmers and to decrease changes in climate-induced agricultural production.

FAO is a specialized Agency of the UN, who heads the international effort to fight hunger.

The main goal of the organization is to provide food security for all and to ensure regular access of the population to high quality food. FAO, with more than 194 member States, operates in more than 130 countries around the world.
