Young bulls and elite cows of Holstein, in December last year, farmers brought from Denmark of almost 800 cows. Many of them were already expecting offspring.

Now the calves live in personal pens, they put additional heating and food. Only when the animals will be two years, they will join the herd of the dairy farm.

They are already accustomed to the feed. They are now curious, sticking your nose bite".

Artem Gilevich, Director of the livestock Department of the company "green agro-Sakhalin": "If you look at the shelves, you will see that the milk of Amurka, milk Primorye, milk from the West. If all of this will be made here on the spot, it will be quite another thing, everything is fresh, all the better."

Farmers plan to launch its own milk processing plant with a capacity of up to 120 tons of products per day. They said the task to replace on the market the Sakhalin enterprise they have. The main thing to compete with farmers from other regions.
