Iran has increased the production of olive oil
In the current Islamic year (started March 21, 2018) Iran has already produced 7.1 thousand tons of olive oil, which is 30% more than in the previous year, when this figure amounted to 5.3 thousand tons.

Iranian olive oil producers for a whole month before the end of the Islamic year, therefore, we should expect even more significant growth. As reported by an Executive Director of the Iranian project for the olives in the Ministry of agricultural development Seyed of Rahmatalla Pariser, Iran has reduced the import of olive oil, 2 thousand tons per year, at the expense of own production increases.
