Republic of Crimea is leading in terms of spring sowing in Russia. This was announced by the Minister of agriculture of the Republic of Crimea Andrey Ryumshin, says the official portal of the Ministry of agriculture of the Republic of Crimea.

"Today, planted 44 thousand hectares of early spring grains and leguminous crops. Crimean farmers have already planted 44% of the planned value, which is 100 thousand hectares. This is due to the favorable agro-climatic conditions", - said the head of the Ministry of agriculture of the Crimea.

Andrey Ryumshin also commented that for carrying out a complex of spring field works in 2019, the need for mineral fertilizers amounted to 24 thousand tons, which is 104% compared to the same period of 2018.

"From the beginning, made 8,5 thousand tons of the fertilizers on the area of 221 thousand hectares. Park of agricultural machinery, necessary for the spring sowing campaign in 2019 is 8402 units, or 102% to the state Park for the period of the spring sowing campaign in 2018," - said the Minister.

The area under winter crops in the Crimea is more than 469 thousand hectares, from them in good and satisfactory condition is 85% germination.
