According to the information-analytical system "Argus", the volume of imports of agricultural products regulated by the Rosselkhoznadzor for the period amounted to approximately 85,17 thousand tons.

The bulk of imports came in four product groups: "Vegetable products" (64,9% of the total share of imports, that is more than 55 thousand tons), "Milk and dairy products" (11.5 percent), "Meat and offal" (11%) and "Fish and seafood" (6.3 percent).

According to the UNE "Argus" last week, Russia imported 4,79 thousand tons (5.6% of the total share of imports) feed and feed additives, and 557 tons of eggs (0.7 percent).

Among meat products, the maximum share in imports was beef (3.8%) and poultry meat (2.3 per cent).

In the period from 18 to 24 February 2019 18,4% of the products were imported from countries of the Eurasian economic Union; 4.1% is from the Asia-Pacific economic cooperation; and 28.6 per cent from EU countries. The main countries – trading partners are Brazil (40.1 per cent), Belarus (15.3%) and Faroe Islands (2,5%).

Delivery of products to the territory of Russia in the period under review was mainly carried out by road and sea transport. The volume of car traffic grew by 16,91 thousand tons. For sea (container) transport had 9,85 thousand tons, the volume of bilge marine transportation amounted to about 55,69 thousand tons, railway transport had 2,72 thousand tons, aviation and 0.01 thousand tons.
