Rosrybolovstvo plans to introduce in the certification of aquaculture fish
The Federal Agency for fishery (Rosrybolovstvo) intends to propose to introduce in Russia the certification of aquaculture products sold in the country, said Tuesday during a news approach in the International trout forum in Petrozavodsk the Deputy head Rosrybolovstva Igor Sokolov.

Trout international forum "Modern technologies. Safety and regulation" was opened in Petrozavodsk on the basis of the University on 12 March and will last two days. The forum was attended by the heads of governments, representatives of Russian and foreign companies, research and educational organizations.
It is important to make the new economy and those that exist are very attentive to the environment. One of our proposals at the forum will be to create a kind of environmental certification of aquaculture products. And not only for the Russian Federation, but the product that comes to us from outside," - said Sokolov.
He did not specify how and who will conduct the certification of the fishing industry, but noted that one of the main criteria is environmental friendliness of production.
According to Sokolov, in 2019 is expected to increase aquaculture production of fish from 5% to 10% per year. Aquaculture production in Russia in 2018 increased by 5.6%, to 232 thousand tonnes, reported the Agency in January.
