In the country the region is out on this indicator to 3rd place, – said the President of the National Union of agricultural insurers the Roots of Beidou in his report at the meeting devoted to readiness of farmers Orel region for realization of spring field works and measures of the state support of agriculture in 2019

An extended meeting with the participation of the Governor of the Oryol region took place in the capital region on March 20. The Governor of the region Andrey Klychkov and the Deputy Minister for agriculture Dmitry Butusov had a working meeting with invited representatives of organizations of the agroindustrial complex, where the President of the NRA of the Roots of Beidou reported on the situation with the organization of agricultural insurance in the region and willingness to develop in the framework of the joint project of the infrastructure of weather stations to increase insurance affordability for farmers.

In his speech to the meeting participants – nearly 200 farmers and heads of districts – the Roots of Beidou, in particular, stressed: "the Practice of several years has revealed a special need of the region in the development of a network of meteorological stations, as the main natural phenomena that threaten crops in the region require for their confirmation of fixation conditions on the ground. More than half of the benefits of companies NSA insurance in the field of crop with state support have on the risks associated with winter and spring period: 35% of payments on the damage to the planting from frost, and another 18% - in cases of death of winter crops from hazards before the resumption of vegetation (freezing, vyprevaniya, ice-cover)".

According to NSA, the main crops which insurance is demanded in the Orel region since the introduction of the law on state support of agricultural insurance – is winter wheat and spring barley and sugar beet. During the period since the entry into force of the law on agricultural insurance with state support (2012-2018) non-paid farmers Orel region on all contracts of insurance 795 million.

From 1 January 2016 at the market of agricultural insurance with state support is a single national Association, the national Union of agricultural insurers. Insurance companies, who are members of NSA do not have the right to enter into contracts of insurance with state support. The creation of a centralized system of agricultural insurance in the Russian Federation is provided by Federal law 22.12.2014 No. 424-FZ on amendments to the Law "On state support in agricultural insurance..." №260-FZ.
