"Agricultural and food products in total export of Ukraine has taken a share of 43.9%. Among the leading products exported were: corn (share in total agricultural exports is 33.6%), sunflower oil, safflower or cotton (20.13 per cent), wheat and mixture of wheat with rye (of 11.84%)," — said acting Minister.
In addition, in the first two months of this year, a significant rate of growth exports of such products as corn — 84.4% ($528,4 million); wheat — 27.8% (nearly $90 million); the oil cake and other solid residues resulting from the extraction of sunflower oil — by 39.7% ($55,8 million); seeds — by 82.1% ($30.2 million); the oil cake and other solid residues of soybean oil — 2.1 times ($26.2 million).
"If we consider the regional structure of export of agricultural products, the most after two months of this year we exported to Asia ($1.38 billion), followed by EU countries ($1.25 billion), Africa ($559 million) and the CIS ($217 million)," added Olga Trofimova.
The TOP 10 biggest importers of Ukrainian agricultural products in January-February 2019 includes: India 9.6%, Egypt — 9,1%, Turkey 7.8%, Netherlands 7.4%, and Spain at 6.7%, China — 5.8 percent, Italy accounted for 3.8%, Poland — 3.3%, and Germany and Belarus with a share of exports and 2.9%.
