Since March 1 in Russia came into force amendments to the law on state support of agricultural insurance, which greatly increase the options of the insurance policy. The round table will discuss the topic of agricultural insurance as a tool for sustainable development of agriculture, measures of state support of agricultural insurance, taking into account changes in legislation, the interaction between farmers and insurers in agricultural insurance organization of insurance with state support in crop and livestock production and the role of space monitoring in case of insurance of crops. It is expected the speech of the Minister of agriculture and food of the Udmurt Republic Olga Abramova, Deputy Director of insurance market Department, Bank of Russia Svetlana Nikitina, President of NSA Korney Bizhdov and representatives of the Union.

Potential development of agricultural insurance in the Volga Federal district, including in the Udmurt Republic, is high. For the period of validity of the law on state support of agricultural insurance 2012 economy PFO concluded 646,5 thousand insurance contracts for the same period received insurance payments in the amount of 8.5 billion rubles, including of which nearly 5 billion rubles – on insurance with state support. In crop insurance, 69% of all payments of the Volga region accounts for risks to soil and air drought and dry winds".

From 1 January 2016 at the market of agricultural insurance with state support is a single national Association, the national Union of agricultural insurers. Insurance companies, who are members of NSA do not have the right to enter into contracts of insurance with state support. The creation of a centralized system of agricultural insurance in the Russian Federation is provided by Federal law 22.12.2014 No. 424-FZ on amendments to the Law "On state support in agricultural insurance..." №260-FZ.
