According to the results of its stable performance, the decision was made on creation on its base of large unit capacity of up to 735 thousand tons per year. Thus the production capacity of the unit will increase by more than 500 thousand tons. The total production capacity of urea in the Novgorod area will exceed 1.9 million tons per year. It will make Acron one of the largest platforms for the production of urea not only in Russia but also in Europe.

Investments into the project are estimated at 81 million dollars. USA. Expected date of start of work mid – 2019. The General designer of the project is LLC "Novgorodsky GIAP" (a part of Acron Group). To increase the reliability of production is planned the purchase of a new compressor CO2. Furthermore, a modernization of installations for deep cleaning of drains, built a new warehouse of finished products.

In comparison with other granular nitrogen fertilizers urea contains the highest amount of nitrogen, making it the most popular fertilizer in the world. Urea is widely used in the cultivation of different crops on all soil types. In 2018 Acron has released a million tons of urea, half of which was used for the production of UAN and urea formaldehyde resins.
