RUSSIA IMPORTED MORE THAN 35 THOUSAND TONS OF FEEDS AND FEED ADDITIVES OVER THE PAST WEEK
staff of the Federal state budget institution "Russian state Center of quality and standardization medicines for animals and feed" (fgbi "VGNKI") analyzed data on certain types of agricultural products regulated by the Rosselkhoznadzor and imported into Russia for the period 1 to 7 April 2019.

According to the information-analytical system "Argus", the volume of imports of agricultural products regulated by the Rosselkhoznadzor for the period amounted to about 83 thousand tons.

The main share of imports accounted for by three product groups: "Feed and feed additives" (44,2% of the total share of imports), "Meat and offal" (20,1%), "Milk and dairy products" (18.5 percent). Also a large share in imports fell on the fish and seafood (14.2 percent).

Among meat products, the maximum share in imports was beef (6.8%) and poultry meat (4.3 percent).

In the period 1 to 7 April 2019 27,6% of the products were imported from countries of the Eurasian economic Union; and 41.8% from the Asia-Pacific economic cooperation; 9.7 per cent – from EU countries. The main countries-trade partners were Belarus (24,8%), Argentina (3.1 percent), Brazil (3.0 percent), and Chile (2.8 percent).

Delivery of products to the territory of Russia in the period under review was mainly carried out by road and sea transport. Road traffic made up of 27.85 thousand tons. For sea (container) transport had 20,89 thousand tons, the volume of bilge marine transportation amounted to about of 6.16 thousand tons, railway transport had to 28.02 thousand tons, air transport – 0,03 thousand tons.
