The floods caused to the agricultural sector of Iran, the damage at $3 billion
The floods that engulfed most of the territory of Iran caused damage to the agricultural sector at 3.1 billion dollars (about 130 trillion Iranian rials). On this, as reported by Mehr, said Sunday Minister of agriculture of Iran Mahmoud Hojati.

Hojati, speaking at the open session of the Parliament, noted that the southern province of Khuzestan has suffered the most. Damage to agricultural infrastructure there amounted to 714 million dollars.
The Minister also added that the figures could increase in the coming days.
Torrential rains that hit Iran in the second half of March, led to flooding of about 1,900 towns and villages, at least 70 people were killed, the Agency said.
