The sides confirmed the readiness to hold in the fall of 2019 in the framework of the activities of the Council the next meeting of representatives of business circles of both countries. The event will be held in Moscow at the Russian Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs. The corresponding item is included in the final Protocol held in Thessaloniki XII session of the intergovernmental Commission. Earlier, in 2018, the Council has organized two business meetings with the participation of 37 Greek and 44 Russian companies.

During the meetings, identified the most promising directions of development of trade-economic ties. In addition to the traditional segments of our business relations, such as tourism, agricultural supplies, there has been a revival of business contacts in the high-tech sector. Concluded or in preparation are contracts for the supply to Greece of radio equipment, solar cells, machine oils, components for the production of pharmaceutical drugs. Greek businessmen are trying to bring to the Russian market of high-tech equipment for water treatment, chemicals for farmers.

Combined Russian-Greek Commission on economic, industrial and scientific-technical cooperation was established in 1995 through an agreement between the Russian Federation and Greece with the aim of creating conditions for development of cooperation of participants of foreign economic activity. The Commission organizes events that contribute to the expansion of the bilateral cooperation in promising areas, increases bilateral exports, attracting investment and advanced technologies. Chairman of the Russian part of the Commission is the Minister of transport of the Russian Federation, the Greek delegation headed by first Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic.

The Russian-Greek Council on cooperation and investment was established in June 2007, the Russian Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs. The aim of the Council is to promote economic development and cooperation between Russia and Greece by promoting dialogue between the Russian and Greek enterprises, the development of private and entrepreneurial initiatives, and develop recommendations to governmental structures of the Russian Federation and Greece on issues of policy and practical measures necessary to strengthen the Russian-Greek business relations. The President of the Council from the Russian side in may 2017 - Goncharov Konstantin Anatolyevich, member of the Board of RUIE, President of the Group of companies "Novotrans". The main partner of the Council with the Greek side is the Greek Federation of enterprises (SEV - Hellenic Federation of Enterprises).
