According to Korney Bizhdov, the maximum size of a single payment has been made in crop insurance: in 2017 one of the crop enterprises in the Voronezh region received from the insurance company 206 million rubles for the loss of yield of sunflower, resulting in waterlogging of the soil.

Also large insurance payments on the risks of APK made by insurers and in 2016: the death of fish in the Murmansk region – 125 million rubles, infection with African swine fever the number of pigs in the Ryazan region – almost 83 million rubles, the loss of the sugar beet harvest when there is a dust storm in the Voronezh region – 58,7 million roubles.

Farmers annually incur large losses from natural hazards, risks which pose a real financial threat as specific to farms and industry or the region as a whole. For example, in the Krasnodar region, in 2018, only one farm from wind, rain and hail killed winter wheat at 268 hectares, corn on 295 ha, sugar beet on 277 hectares, sunflower on 161 hectares and soybeans on 106 hectares. the cost of the damage amounted to more than 65 million rubles. At the same time from natural disasters damaged 290 hectares of Apple orchards, completely lost harvest worth 200 million rubles."

"Payout statistics convincingly demonstrates that the agricultural insurers in the main their mass to fulfill its obligations on compensation of financial losses of the Russian APK from unexpected losses, – said the Roots of biggov. – According to the NSA, for the period from 2012 to 2018 the insurance company concluded its consideration 7559 insurance claims under contracts with the state, the amount of insurance payments amounted to 6762, or 89.5 per cent of the total. Thus, the failure rate in the payoff is only 10.5% of the examined insurance claims".
