It is expected that the new Association will provide closer cooperation between state bodies and domestic grain producers.

The Board of Directors of the Association will consist of nine people from the companies Azersun holding, Gilan Holding, Karat Holding, Neon, Agro Dairy, the Baku grain terminal, Yalama facility, Taxila and Karabagh as a Group. The head of Karat Holding was elected Chairman of the new Association.

Grain production in Azerbaijan in 2018. exceeded 3 million tons in 2018. The country imported over 1 million tons of wheat.
