This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian grain Association (UGA) on his page in Facebook following the meeting, representatives of the Association and the Embassy of the people's Republic of China.

The report said that in the absence of detection of dwarf bunt (Tilletia Controversa) in the territory of Ukraine, UZA proposed to revise the current phytosanitary Protocol between the two countries and to abolish the requirement for inspection free of pests plots, which was introduced earlier in connection with the identification of dwarf bunt in Ukraine.

Thus, noted in the Association will be inspecting the grain to identify pests or diseases, and not fields, which will simplify the procedure of export of barley to China.

"Representatives of the Embassy of China welcomes this initiative and is ready to contribute to the revision of the phytosanitary Protocol, if the Ukrainian side will appeal to the Chinese side with such an initiative," - said in the UGA.

The press service added that the representatives of the Embassy of China in Ukraine welcomes the initiative of the UGA to expand the list of crops that are allowed to export to China, in particular, the inclusion of wheat, flax, peas and beans.

As UNIAN reported earlier, according to the Ministry of agrarian policy and food, in 2017-2018 MG farmers exported 39.9 million tons of grain.
