Miratorg increased the area under maize for grain and silage in 2019 by 20% to 110 thousand ha in the framework of an interregional project cattle
APH "Miratorg", the largest beef producer in Russia, reports that in connection with growth of number of cattle increased the area under maize for grain and silage in the Bryansk, Orel, Kaluga, Smolensk, Tula regions up to 110 thousand hectares in 2019, which is 20% more compared to last year.

"Miratorg" from scratch built a vertically integrated beef production of a full cycle: the number of cattle on farms of the company in the black earth and Kaliningrad region exceeds 670 thousand head. The company implements a long-term strategy to increase forage production within the framework of increasing population. Own raw materials allows to provide high-quality, organic feed for livestock divisions of the holding.

Corn silage and crimped grain are the key components of the diet of cattle on farms and feedlots with high nourishing properties. Silage improves digestion of animals and facilitates the absorption of other forage - hay and haylage. Rolled corn is used for fattening cattle in feedlots. The agricultural holding is planning to procure in 2019, more than 2.7 million tons of corn silage and more than 620 thousand tons of rolled grain.
