The Minister of agriculture and food of the Omsk region Nikolay bustard, together with representatives of Federal agencies and science held a conference call with the municipal districts, where he discussed the pace of the ending of the sowing campaign, but also drew attention to a number of questions about the planted acreage, insurance of crops and plant protection.

On 6 June, the sowing of spring crops held at the square of 2 million 517 thousand ha or 93.6% of the plan (2018 – 2 million 132 thousand hectares or 76.9% of the plan). In district 21 spring sowing carried out more than 90% of the forecast area. Due to steady rains in the region of the areas a little behind from the previous high rates of seeding. In this regard, Nicholas bustard has addressed heads of agricultural administrative bodies with a request to pay podtopleny areas of special attention, take them on the control with the objective of creating forage for livestock or for planting of winter crops.

The sowing of grain and leguminous crops held at the square 1 882 million hectares, or 94.9% of plan (2018 – 1 million 604 thousand hectares, or 77,6% of the plan). Completed the sowing of grain and leguminous crops in Pavlograd, Znamenskoye, sedel'nikovskiy and Tevrizsky districts. The remaining districts will complete in the next few days.

The sowing of oilseeds conducted on the area of 299,8 thousand hectares or 99% of plan and is almost complete.

Flax was sown - 4840га (97.1% of the plan, in 2018 3996га, or 72.5% of the plan). Farmers muromtsevsky district exceeded the planned target of sowing of flax 2% (seeded 1720 hectares or 102,1% of the plan). In Znamensky area sown 1350 ha (100% of plan) in Bolsheukovsky – 1760 ha (90,3% of the plan).

Seeding of annual grasses conducted on the area 248тыс. ha or 79.5% of the plan (in 2018 170,4 thousand ha, or 53.1% of the plan). Sowing silage made in the area of 39.6 hectares, or 99% of plan (2018 – 35,7 thousand hectares, or 72.4% from the plan). The sowing of vegetables and planting of potato is more than 97% of the plan.

As of June 6, in 32 districts of the region purchased elite seeds of 15.8 thousand tons (in 2018 – 14 thousand tons). Fertilizers are made on the square 396,1 thousand hectares in the amount of 16.7 thousand tons of active substance (2018 square 304,4 thousand hectares to 13 thousand tonnes). Organic fertilizer made on the area of 22.4 thousand hectares in the amount of 880,2 thousand tons (in 2018 73.4 thousand hectares in the amount of 1120,1 thousand tons).

Following the results of selector meeting the farmers were encouraged to start preparing for forage and to pay special attention to the protection of plants.
