The EU began to import more soybeans – 14.1 million tons (+8% vs. last season). Canola and sunflower was brought less to 4.0 million tonnes (-2%) and 0.5 million tonnes (-4%), respectively.

Import of oilseed meals decreased to 20.3 million tonnes (-6%), including soybean meal – to 16.6 million tons (-6%), sunflower seed – up to 3,2 million tons (-10%). Imports of rapeseed meal surged by 140% to 0.4 million tonnes.

The volume of imports of vegetable oils increased to 8.2 million tons (+2%). Compared to last season, the Union began to import soybean oil, 0.4 million tons (+51%) and rapeseed oil – by 0.3 million tons (+69%). Import palm and sunflower oil remains stable at 5.9 million tons and 1.6 million tons respectively.
