In the 25th week in the Azov region, the growth rate continued to average at $ 2-3. Now freight on the "reference" flight Rostov – Marmara is 18 USD per ton of wheat, with the General mood on the rise. In the ports of the Azov sea has already started to receive the wheat of the new harvest, which is caused by standing heat in southern Russia. According to forecasts, this weather will last the next two weeks, and farmers, fearing to lose the goods, had to clean up before prescribed time, which may affect the quality of grain.
The largest Azov Charterers have already started to discuss contract work with ship Owners on the July date. The existence of such sentences (with interest rates higher than spot) give the Owners reason to believe that the grain season has begun, and the market will only grow. However, many ships river-sea open about some dates: 22nd - 24th June and are in search of cargo. Thus, the oversupply of tonnage in the spot market fuels bets on frontovye shipment, because the Shipowners are looking for the goods on the next date and a small number of people willing to pixomatic two weeks ahead of time creates artificial scarcity.
Caspian rates remain stable. Party corn of the new harvest has not yet appeared, and barley senders trying to hold in the hope of higher export prices, which can be caused by drought in the southern regions of Russia. Low supply of goods countered the weak range of tonnage, in fact – low turnover as a result of the payment delays. Currently, the freight on the basis of the Samara – Iran is 45 $ USD per ton of barley of the old crop.
The intensity of cargo flows of General cargo from Adriatic to Azov and the Black sea to the Caspian sea remain relatively low, the spring level, without undergoing any sudden UPS or downs. Most freight forwarders planning of shipments for August, i.e. the peak of the grain season, and freight rates on similar routes that are significantly higher than at the moment.
