Farmers in 20 regions of Ukraine as of July 2, harvested 6.1 million tons of early grain crops from an area of 1.9 million hectares, reported the press service of the Ministry of agrarian policy and food.
In particular, winter wheat harvested 3.4 million tons with an area of 1 million hectares or 15% of the forecast; barley - 2,5 million tons with an area of 750 thousand hectares, or 30% of the forecast; pea - 267 thousand tons with an area of 128 thousand hectares, or 45% of the forecast.
In addition, winter rapeseed harvested 539 thousand tons with an area of 277 hectares, or 21% of the forecast.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on may 2, Ukrainian farmers have completed sowing of early spring crops, planted 2.1 million hectares.
The grain harvest in Ukraine to 2018, amounted to a record 70.1 million tons.
