This is lower than in July last year, when exports amounted to 4.8 million tons, including 3.9 million tons of wheat. But this is much higher than in July 2017. Then it was exported to 2.76 thousand tons of grain, including 1.67 million tons of wheat.

As explained to "Interfax" the head of the center Igor Pavensky, a year ago the big export was due to higher reserves of grain and export wheat prices.

According to him, last week, export prices for Russian wheat (protein content of 12.5%) for delivery in August after short-term growth back to the level of the previous week - $192 per ton. A year ago the price was close to $200 per ton. On the Egyptian GASC tender on 2 July had purchased only 60 thousand tons of Romanian wheat for delivery 2-12 August to $210,46 per ton ($196,71 FOB per ton and $13,75 for the freight). Russian wheat in the tender were not competitive: best offer was $214,46 per ton ($198,86 per tonne, FOB), other offers from Russia were more than $202 per ton (FOB).

Pavensky also reported that the purchase price of milling wheat in deep-water ports last week rose to 100 rubles, to 10,600 rubles per ton (excluding VAT), the small water - decreased by $ 100, to 9 900 rubles per ton.

Quotes of Russian barley in July in deep-sea ports amounted to $168,5 per ton (FOB), which is $2.5 more than the previous week. Purchasing prices on barley of the new harvest to deepwater ports remained at 8 800-9 400 roubles per tonne in shallow water - 8 300-8 400 rubles.
