In crop production the highest level of profitability - 33,2% (here and below excluding subsidies) - has been achieved in the implementation of the sunflower. But it turned out to be lower than in 2017, which amounted to 42%.

In animal husbandry last year was the most profitable pig production: the level of profitability of pigs without any treatment was 40.8% versus 32.5% in the previous year.

However, the report notes that the target rate of profitability that is defined in the state program for 2018 at 15%, not achieved. "The main reasons for the deviation of the actual values from the plan are complicated by weather conditions and an increase in cost due to high production costs due to rising prices of material resources and an increase in wages as a result of bringing the minimum wage to the subsistence minimum", - explained in the document.

The report also says that the industry profit before tax (including subsidies) in the past year amounted to 314 billion rubles, which is 15.1% more than in 2017. The share of profitable farms in the total number of agricultural enterprises was 83%, which is 0.3 PP higher than a year earlier. The number of agricultural enterprises in 2018 fell to 17 from 18 499 178 in 2017.
